It is well known from comprehensive research that fragrances, whether natural or synthetic,
can often act as a sensitizing agent and potential allergen when in contact with the skin.
Despite this information, flavored products may seem appealing to most consumers who do

A lot of people would like their bathroom to smell like flowers or perfume, but the scent of the
toilet paper has to “fight” the more aggressive smells of whole segments of other specialized

Even a single fragrance in a product is usually a complex mixture of dozens of compounds.
The majority of synthetic fragrances are made from petrochemicals, which means they can
include toxic substances like phthalates and benzene derivatives. With prolonged use, some
of these toxins bioaccumulate, which means they are not eliminated from our bodies but
accumulate in our tissues.
Moreover, in the case of toilet paper, any additional fragrance ingredients will end up on one
of the most sensitive areas of the body. Should you trust extra and irritating chemicals right
there?
Using highly flavored toilet paper, especially regularly and for a long period, can cause irritation
and puffiness of the skin of the delicate intimate areas and even infections.

Exposure to scented products, which is generally associated with a number of adverse effects
on human health, is very much the norm for modern man – skin and hair care products, laundry
and cleaning detergents, fabric softeners, air fresheners and whatnot.
